When We Are Closed

If you require medical assistance which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens contact NHS 111 by phoning 111 which is a free call from both landlines and mobile phones.  The highly experienced team of doctors and nurses will assess your call, give advice or arrange for you to be seen at the out-of-hours centre near York Hospital A&E Department. They can also arrange to visit you in your own home depending on your condition.

Please only call if you feel immediate medical attention is required.

Walk-in Centre

The York “Walk-in” centre is located at York Hospital, Wigginton Road, York.  It is a nurse led service providing treatment, advice and information on health issues and minor injuries.  No appointments are necessary and the centre is open 7 days a week from 08:00 until 18:00.

NHS 111 Online

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
